Six years married.... Feels like yesterday. Time FLIES!

I worked today. What a weird day of the week Canada Day falls on this year. A Tuesday... So clearly there was next to no one at work today. This made for an enjoyable commute in, walk from Union Station and at work itself it was real nice and quiet. Regina brought her little girl, Sophia in. Such a pretty little girl, she has these massive eyes that are just so captivating.
Got a bit done at work surprisingly, then I went and did a double work out. First I did a 45 min Body Pump class with Lianne, then a 15 min break, then a half hour of BodyShred. All my gear, soaked. My energy was lagging towards the end but so proud and happy I stayed.

Now I'm on the way home on an early bus. Since the roads are less heavy today, it means were flying right now which is just fine with me.

Alex was supposed to come down tonight but who knows now.

I had a fabulous anniversary on Saturday! Woke up feelin blessed and loved, a bunch of flowers in my name and a lovely card from the man. We spent the morning at the strawberry festival (too many people and far too hot), then went out for a late lunch to a restaurant we've frequented before but hadn't been in years. Holy shit carb overload though, but damn so good.
Went home, napped with Jeff, enjoyed the rest Of our evening and then Sunday I chilled with Jeff, went berry picking wth my mom and just had a nice and relaxing ENTIRE weekend :)

Here's so photo imagery to go with..

And on my break during class today scarfing down some protein..

It's slow at work.  Mainly because a handful are attending a social media conference until lunch today.  The other reason, people were smart and booked today and Monday off for a super long and nice long weekend.  Not I, my friends.  Wasted too many bloody days earlier this year being sick off my ass with those wretched evil pills that my body hated so much.  Which, I should mention, after time and healing, my legs have healed but there are definite scars from that shit.  I can't wait to see what the hospital says when I go for my appointment on August 6th.

So we're going to talk about my pet peeves, or things that irritate that fuck out of me.... Hehe

- I can't stand when people walk let's say four wide and every attempt to pass results in being denied. No spatial awareness or care for those around you.

- I don't appreciate when talking to someone if they stand mere inches away from your face. I don't need to smell your wretched breath thank you.

- it's widely known that I rarely get song with or make friends with females. I just can't stand the bullshit/drama/cattiness shit. Girls can be so awful, I find men on general dad more easygoing and to get along with.

- if you're going to use my supplies at work, fine but no need to steal my stappler. Go up to the fucking supplies room and get your own you lazy twat.

- When you hold a door for someone, a simple thanks goes a long way.

- know-it-alls. Can't get a word in edge wise so why bother wasting your time?

- people who press the elevator call button a bazillion times thinking it'll come quicker. It won't, so please stop. Lol

- condescending or people that go out of their way to make someone feel excluded of unwelcome... *ahem, this wedding*

- I can't stand it if I come home from pet visits all day and Jeff hasn't moved an inch. Shit everywhere, pop cans... Biggest arch nemesis. Pick up after yourself, it's not hard!!!

I'm going to end it by saying HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO ME!!! (Tomorrow)

To end this on a good note, here are the puppies sunbathing and the second isbjeff walking the boys Nd girls this afternoon :)

This week has been pretty uneventful.  I had been hoping to bike with Jeff every night but it's been crappy weather Monday through Wednesday.  Today is nice, though.  I really don't care so much what it's like during the week than say on the weekend when I get to enjoy the nice weather as opposed to out a window at my desk.  And I'm realllllllllly looking forward to this weekend because we've got nothing planned.  I'm not working, I don't have a shower to go to or any other non-sense and we're both home.  This Saturday also marks our 6th wedding.  I literally cannot believe that time has gone by so quickly.  Man and next March, we'll have been together for 13 years.  Jesus.  I'm getting old.  Sigh.

We don't have anything planned for the weekend other than attending a Strawberry Festival on Saturday at some point to see our friend's who have a booth there.  They have a local farm that produces maple syrup and my god it's the best shit you've ever tasted and it's not full of garbage and corn starch like other brands have *ahem Aunt Jemima*.

Sunday, who knows.  I'll go to the gym in the morning.  I have to work on Monday and then we have Tuesday off for Canada Day.  Monday should be a wash since many people are taking the day off.  Our friend Alex is coming down on Monday night to visit, which should be nice.

Anyways, that's all I have time to write for now.  Ciao!

As much as I've come out of my shell in the last decade, parts of me are still painfully awkward, I don't like huge crowds, I still dont get along with most of the female race and I feel like people go out of their way to exclude me. I've never been included or the first person picked for anything team related, let's be honest here, but it just really hurts when you try so hard and it's all for nothing and I just end up feeling alone and awkward.

I don't need anyone's acceptance or pity but it sure would be nice to have a nice girl friend that I can depend on and the feelings are mutual instead of one sided friendships that leave me feeling used and abused. I'm not even going to post pictures from the shower on Sunday because I just look like I'm photo bombing groups of people to be included in their photos. It's kinda sad.

And so sadness, feeling stupid and pissed off have been the themes today. And of course, to add the cherry on top, I woke up and started arguing with J about going to bed early. We haven't argued in MONTHS so it's uncanny we are now out of the blue. And our anniversary is this Saturday. Yippee! I just haven't been this down on myself and low in a really long time..... Days like this I want to crawl into a hole and not emerge for a long, long time. It's days like these where I'm just on a roll with my negativity.... That I'm not good enough, I'm adequate, that I bring no good qualities to the table, that I'm a piece of shit. It's days like this I want to throw away my more than 2.5 year absintence from nicotine and just smoke and smoke until I feel better (psychologically, not physically, of course). Cue the deep sigh.......

Tomorrow is a new day and will be better.

Weekend Recap - Busy and a Bridal Shower

I had such a nice weekend.  Busy, but filled with fun, laughter, beauty, peace.  I wish it wasn't over and it wasn't Monday.  But I digress.  It is.  Blahhhhhh!

I worked this past weekend pet sitting/dog walking, on top of trying to prep things on Saturday for Sunday's Bridal Shower for my friend Tara's, who's wedding I've previously mentioned I'm in the bridal party for this August.  On Saturday, I made from scratch lemonade, raspberry iced tea and fruit kabobs.  All time consuming.  But it got done.  Thankfully I didn't wait until the very last second to prepare my huge 24 by 36 frame of inspirational words/quotes and images.  She LOVED it.  I took it over on Sunday, someone put it in one of the bedroom's so that it wouldn't get damaged.  At some point, someone pulled it out and I wondered what everyone was focused in on and looking at and sure enough, it was what I made her.  It rendered her speechless.  So I think it was a job well done.  :)

Her fave quote is now: "She stood in the storm, & when the wind did not blow her away, she adjusted her sails."  Simple but meaningful.  Everyone loved my gift so I'm pretty impressed with myself.  She also bought the entire wedding party a gift each from Pandora.  Seems everyone got rings to wear the day of the wedding and then her sister Dayna, who's pregnant and will be as big as a house in August, got a necklace I believe.  The day couldn't have been better.  Of course none of this would have been possible had I not gotten some help with some of my scheduled visits on Sunday afternoon.  To top off the little time I did have Sunday morning, a fucking cat bolted out the sliding glass door to the backyard and was NOT supposed to go out there.  I spent almost a half hour trying to persuade the cat in, trying to coax it with treats, trying to possibly throw a towel or blanket over his head to grab in.  In the end, after a slight melt down on my part and a "OMYGODDDDDDD what am I going to do?!?!", cat go up the steps and into the house all on his own.  Buddy was not impressed with me as he was hisses me at in the house ever since.  Whatever, at least I got him in.  I thought he was a fucking goner.  That has never happened to me in two years that I've been pet sitting/dog walking and let me tell you, it's not a feeling I care to re-visit ever again.  Once the cat was back in, I was outta there and finishing up my morning visits so I could head home and clean up for the shower in the afternoon.  My mom ended up coming with me, which made for a nice afternoon.  Wish I could have enjoyed it more, but I do have this upcoming weekend off, which is SWEET! :)

This is the bugger, Hank, that escaped.  LOL

Auggie, the westie at the same house
as the escapee feline.
Charlie snuggling with my sleeping husband.  Charlie loves his daddy :)

These two are adorable.  George, on the right, is such a ham and LOVES to be brushed.  Sweet Pea, on the left, she just loves to gaze out at the world from the safety of the front door.  :)
And the few pics I did take at the shower... (Bride is in navy polka dotted dress)

More pics to come as I steal them from the other girls :)

Beautiful sunset, right?  This was what the sky looked like last night.  :)  Happy Thursday peeps!

Why hello there, Friday, where have you been all my life?

My mom came to visit the goats with me on Tuesday night.  Basically, after the first time, the goats have been much friendlier and I think they recognize my smell so they know I mean them no harm.  And it helps that I have popcorn and crackers as peace offerings that they oh-so-adore. LOL

Two crazy Goldens I looked after on Wednesday and Tuesday  nights.

 More goats :)

 Hello :)
 And my love, Charlie :)

I am petsitting/dog walking this weekend in exchange for my scheduled weekend on September while were having in Barbados. I'm doing overnights this time around with Jasmine, the Shiloh Shepard and then visits in between. Sunday is a bit quiet but I won't complain about that.

Tuesday's musings.....

My weekend was pretty chill, quiet because Jeff wasn't around, he was up north doing his monthly thang with his brother and father.

I spent Friday night doing grocery shopping and not much else other than watching the boob tube.  Saturday morning I biked over to my mom's house to visit Toby, the Pomeranian that she's looking after (the one that I've cared for previously, visiting him at his house though) and then I also previously wrote that my mom was also looking after a crazy cute dachshund.  Cuteness overload at her house. I stayed for over an hour, then biked back home so that I could get dressed/ready to go out to look at a townhouse with our friend Dina.  We looked around at said house, drove around a bit and then settled on a late lunch at a place with a view like this:

Gorgeous view and the afternoon's weather improved greatly, the morning was pretty overcast and cool.  It almost felt like fall.

Left lunch, went home and then cleaned a bit before a friend and her boyfriend came over for a visit.  They stayed a couple of hours and then I went to sleep.

Sunday morning was uneventful.  Woke up, ate breakfast and showered so that I could meet up with the Bride who's wedding I'm part of in August for her dress fitting.  Her dress had finally come in and it was time for the first fitting and deciding what alterations needed to be made.  Gorgeous dress, beautiful bride, I just can't wait for the wedding.  Her bridal shower is actually coming up this Sunday at a fellow wedding party's mom's house in their backyard.  I'm hoping the weather cooperates and we can all be in the garden for the afternoon.  The shower also falls on my petsitting weekend but I've managed to cover from about 12 to 5 so that I'm free and clear to head on over to the shower.  I've got a ton of stuff to prepare:  lemonade, raspberry iced tea (all from scratch), fruit shish bobs, I've got to pick up some wild flowers.  I've already got my pseudo gift and card for her.  It's going to be a busy weekend.

Here are a few current pictures of the dogs:

Going down in the elevator to meet their gf                   My sunbeam, Charlie.  He loves the sun!
Lily for a walk

Oh and lookie here what I found:
This was the day that I picked my dress.  My mom actually wanted me to try on the dress and I was so glad that I did.  So pretty :)
Here are a few pictures from my mom's camera that she took of the goats and of my four-legged kids mucking around at my mom's house.  Enjoy :)
